Rainy Day in the South

It is absolutely pouring down here in Tennessee today. The sky is dark, the humidity is thick, and it’s raining cats and dogs.

If you’re stuck inside watching the sheets of water hit the porch, here is exactly how to handle it:

  • If it's raining hard enough, driving on the back roads becomes a water sport. Just stay put. It's a shame if you actually have to go into work.

  • This weather demands comfort food. It’s a prime day for baking a batch of biscuits, throwing a roast in the crockpot, or just drinking sweet tea while staring blankly out the window.

  • If it ain’t blowing sideways, you are legally required to sit on the porch for at least ten minutes, listen to rain, and say, "Man, we really needed this rain," even if it rained yesterday.

So, turn on some good music and enjoy the break. Don't worry, the sun will be back to baking us like a potato by tomorrow!

Thanks Y'all!
